After crying for awhile, I decided to see if I could figure out any more of this story. In a compassionate moment, I thought “Clearly there is something else going on here, and the rest of the story needs to be told.” So I go back onto Facebook, which at this point is a little like going back into the water after a great white started eating tourists in your New England town.
Her was the Facebook status right before:First of all, among all the intriguing and interesting words here, it might get lost that “Cassie” is the one who the status More >

So I login to Facebook and they have this new format that caught me by surprise. Instead of having everyone’s “status” updates in their normal 10pt font that can easily fade into the background, they now have it large and unavoidable. I had to restrain myself from doing the Bill Murray, “…so I got that goin’ for me…which is nice.” http://feeds.feedburner.com/ThisIsWhyYourHoldTimeIsSoLong

By the transitive property, computers don’t exist. http://feeds.feedburner.com/ThisIsWhyYourHoldTimeIsSoLong

her: “My keyboard isn’t working and the lights for Capslock and Numlock won’t light up”
me: “Alright, it sounds like it may not be connected to your computer. Can I get you to find the cable that comes out of the keyboard and tell me where it plugs in?”
her: “OK (noises of stuff being moved around) hmmm, well it looks like it just goes into plastic”
me: “Um, what?”
her: “Yeah, the cord just kind of goes into plastic, and I can’t see the plug. Did it come loose inside of there maybe?”
me: “….are you looking at the computer or the keyboard?”
her: “The More >
