bored & angry
Apr 27th
This last weekend, I spent a lot of time in the back of a van driven by other people. Usually on road trips I like to drive as I very easily get bored. I also like to stop a lot and look at strange things that we’re passing by, which is why I wasn’t allowed to drive on this trip. Speed took precedence over sightseeing this time, so here I was in the back of the van squished between coolers and jackets.
My typical response to this situation is to buy a crappy $6 paperback and read it until complete. This More >

“Hi, my boss needs his password reset, can you do that?”“Actually no, due to security constraints and rules with federal regulation in our industry, it is strictly against the rules to give out password information to anyone other than the person whose account it is”“But I know his password, can you reset it?”“No”“He’s really busy and doesn’t have time, can you just do it this time?”“No”“I’m his assistant, I should be able to reset his password”“No. Is he there right now?”“Yes! He’s right here!”“Can I talk to him and then I can reset it?”“Um…no, he’s….busy….”“Have him call us when he’s More >

OH MY GOD. This went on for 20 more minutes. Seriously, blame your coworkers More >

When I think about the EPA (which I do at least once a day), only one thing comes to mind, and it’s not clean water.
Walter Peck.Yes, Walter Peck, the Ghostbuster’s nemesis. He almost single-handedly brought about apocalypse by shutting down the ghost jail because there might have been something dangerous inside. You think he would have done a quick “Hmm, which would be worse, unleashing the souls of the undead, or some carbon More >
the new house
Apr 6th
The fiance and I bought a house last week, and this has completely taken over my life until we’re able to move in. The house is in very good shape, however there are a number of changes we want to make before moving in, as it’s easier to do paint and stuff before all of our crap is in the way.
The house was built in 1959, and I believe it was last decorated in 1960. Everything is well maintained, but part of me wishes that it wasn’t so well maintained so it would have had to have been replaced at More >
