PhotobucketHere we are again, Memoir Mondays how I’ve missed thee. I’ve been thinking for the past month on how to describe this song. This is another one that we performed live, but it turned out well enough that we ended up putting it on our CD.

As is the case in about 95% of music, this song was about a girl. Not just any girl, but the one that our lead singer was in love with, who then ditched him for another guy, so the teenage angst was in full effect here. The funny part of this is he kind of has a sense of humor, so instead of just screaming, he writes some fairly clever lines for a high school kid.

Also, I’m certain that his mom, dad, and little sister were in the audience this night. That makes some of his lines a little awkward to sing loudly, and you’ll hear him very obviously drop down in volume the first time he has to sing it.

Ah to be a teenager again, when you have very important things to say but are too embarrassed to let your parents know.

Kind of like blogging.
